The Grafting in of the “Natural Branches”

Behold, thus saith the Lord, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; and shall ye not know it? I, the Lord, have not spoken in secret. I have, even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I showed it unto thee. Who among you can shew us the former things? Who among you can declare the type and shadow which bears witness of the order after the Son of God? Yea, who hath believed the report?

Behold I say unto you, in these days, shall the Father work a work, which shall be great and marvelous, and there shall be among you those who will not believe it, though it be told you. I am the same yesterday, today and forever and he that diligently seeketh shall find and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them by the power of the Holy Ghost. Wherefore, in consequence of your blindness, which comes because of the precepts of men, I will give unto you a pattern in all things that you may not be deceived. I also give unto you a commandment, that you rely upon the things which are written. Ask of me and my scriptures shall be given as I have appointed and thou shalt take the things which thou shall receive, which have been given in my scriptures, for a law, to be my law to govern my church.

In the days of our father Adam, when he was bowed down with age, he called all those who were high priests, who were righteous, into the valley of Adam-ondi-Ahman, and there he bestowed upon them his last blessing. There also the Lord appeared and administered unto Adam and he being full of the Holy Ghost, predicted whatsoever should befall his posterity unto the last generation. These things were all written in the book of Enoch, of whom it is said, saw the Lord himself, and walked and talked with him as a man speaks unto another, and was before his face continually. All these things will be testified of in due time.

The sacred knowledge of the true Gospel and God’s dealings among the children of men, were first revealed unto Adam, and thence forth these teachings have been preserved within the records of the fathers, even all the ancient patriarchs, and handed down from one generation to another or from one prophet unto another unto this day. These same records were handed down and kept even by our father Noah, until they fell into the hands of Abraham, wherein he learned many truths concerning the right of Priesthood, which is ordained unto the literal seed, and therefore he sought for his appointment to administer the same. And it came to pass that Abraham did also receive a covenant of the Father of heaven saying: In thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. I would, my brethren, that ye should know that all the kindreds of the earth cannot be blessed unless he shall make bare his arm in the eyes of the nations. Wherefore, the Lord God will proceed to make bare his arm in the eyes of all the nations, in bringing about his covenants and his gospel unto those who are of the house of Israel.

The eternal decrees of God are unalterable. His works, designs, and purposes cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to naught. All things which are expedient to accomplish His eternal purposes have been ordained and prepared, from before the foundation of the world, according to the foreknowledge of God. Therefore, the promises and covenants of the Lord unto the literal seed, were further confirmed upon Isaac, and then Jacob, and on even unto Joseph and his posterity (literal seed – Manasseh & Ephraim). And the Lord visited Joseph in Egypt and swore unto him that he would preserve his seed forever saying; out of the fruit of thy loins, the Lord God will raise up a righteous branch; and unto Israel, I will raise up a prophet, and his name shall be Moses, and a rod shall be in his hand, and he shall gather together my people, and he shall lead them as a flock, to deliver my people out of affliction in the days of your bondage.

As was decreed from the beginning, a deliverer was indeed sent by God, and according to the pattern, he was nursed by the king’s daughter in pharaoh’s house. The Lord raised up Moses and eventually brought him also to this same knowledge of the fathers concerning God’s covenant promise to his chosen people. For this reason, when the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness, Moses sought diligently to sanctify his people, that they might behold the face of God; but they hardened their hearts and could not endure his presence; therefore, the Lord in his wrath, for his anger was kindled against them, swore that they should not enter into his rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of his glory. Therefore, he took Moses out of their midst, and the Holy Priesthood also. And it came to pass that the Lord, knowing all things, said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

It is because of this understanding that Moses said unto the elders of the tribes; I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck, behold while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the Lord; and how much more after my death? For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands and the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! The Lord has said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be. They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people (the Gentiles); I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

And it came to pass that the Lord did indeed scatter Israel and they are, even now, left few in number among the Gentiles as was spoken by the prophets. I say then, has God cast away his people? God forbid. The Lord knowing all things, has prepared means, to set his hand again a second time to recover his people, which are of the house of Israel and bring to pass his strange act. Christ spoke unto his disciples in Jerusalem saying; And when that day shall come, shall a remnant be scattered among all nations; and they shall be gathered again; but they shall remain, in blindness, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Therefore, because of the promises made unto Joseph, and more specifically Nephi and his seed, in the land of the fathers’ first inheritance, the Savior taught the Nephites concerning this same point of doctrine saying; And blessed are the Gentiles, because of their belief in me, in and of the Holy Ghost, which witnesses unto them of me and of the Father. Behold, because of their belief in me, saith the Father, and because of the unbelief of you, O house of Israel, in the latter day shall the truth come unto the Gentiles. The Messiah spoke plainly concerning the coming times of the Gentiles, as well as the fulfilling of the promises and covenants that should be fulfilled unto the children of the first covenant.

The Savior, who came as a light unto the Gentiles, brought in the times of the Gentiles. He made both Jew and Gentile one, by breaking down that middle wall of partition which stood between brothers, the sons of Noah, Shem and Japheth. This knowledge was revealed unto the apostle Paul, and he was given a dispensation of grace to proclaim unto the Gentiles, who had previously been aliens from the common wealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants. Paul preached unto the Romans concerning what has been called “the report. This same report was spoken of specifically by the prophet Isaiah, and truly great are his words because he understood the former things. He could recognize the same pattern or type and shadow which is contained throughout the scriptures.

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.”Romans 11

  • What is this “mystery”?
  • How has blindness happened?
  • Who are the Gentiles? Who is Israel?
  • What is the fulness of the times of the Gentiles and when shall they “come in”?
  • What are the promises and covenants God has decreed should come to pass in the latter days?
  • What do the scriptures say?

Nephi expounds upon this “mystery”, comparing the house of Israel unto an olive tree:

And after the house of Israel should be scattered they should be gathered together again; or, in fine, after the Gentiles had received the fulness of the Gospel, the natural branches of the olive tree, or the remnants of the house of Israel, should be grafted in, or come to the knowledge of the true Messiah, their Lord and their Redeemer. Behold, I say unto you, that the house of Israel was compared unto an olive tree, by the Spirit of the Lord which was in our father; and behold are we not broken off from the house of Israel, and are we not a branch of the house of Israel? And now, the thing which our father meaneth concerning the grafting in of the natural branches through the fulness of the Gentiles, is, that in the latter days, when our seed shall have dwindled in unbelief, yea, for the space of many years, and many generations after the Messiah shall be manifested in body unto the children of men, then shall the fulness of the gospel of the Messiah come unto the Gentiles, and from the Gentiles unto the remnant of our seed—And at that day shall the remnant of our seed know that they are of the house of Israel, and that they are the covenant people of the Lord.” 1 Nephi 10 & 15

And Nephi, in plainness, did also prophesy concerning the latter days. He having studied the plates of brass, by the power of the Holy Ghost, could prophesy concerning our day. For he received great knowledge of the mysteries of God and understood that which should come to pass in the latter days, even unto the last days.

“Wherefore saith the Lamb of God: I will be merciful unto the Gentiles, unto the visiting of the remnant of the house of Israel in great judgment. And it came to pass that the angel of the Lord spake unto me, saying: Behold, saith the Lamb of God, after I have visited the remnant of the house of Israel—and this remnant of whom I speak is the seed of thy father—wherefore, after I have visited them in judgment, and smitten them by the hand of the Gentiles, and after the Gentiles do stumble exceedingly, because of the most plain and precious parts of the gospel of the Lamb which have been /kept back by that abominable church, which is the mother of harlots, saith the Lamb—I will be merciful unto the Gentiles in that day, insomuch that I will bring forth unto them, in mine own power, much of my gospel (The Book of Mormon), which shall be plain and precious, saith the Lamb.” – 1 Nephi 13

Who are the Gentiles? What saith the scriptures?

After the flood came upon the earth, God said unto Noah; I will establish a covenant between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. In the records of the generations of the sons of Noah, it is said of the sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras; By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. All the nations of the Gentiles descend from Japheth and the literal seed come through Shem.

Nephi had in his possession the plates of brass and he read the words of Isaiah, which of necessity speak concerning both the house of Israel and the Gentiles. Nephi can understand the writings and records of the fathers because he himself came from Jerusalem and he understands who everybody is. He understands the history, the culture, the tradition, the language, the geography. Nephi was even taught in all the learning of his father Lehi and of the things of the prophets. And so, having this great understanding in the mysteries of God, Nephi inquires of the Lord and receives further clarification, wherein an angel spake unto him saying, Look! And I beheld many nations and kingdoms of the Gentiles. And it came to pass that I looked again and beheld many waters (oceans); and they divided the Gentiles from the seed of my brethren.

And it came to pass that the angel said unto me: Behold the wrath of God is upon the seed of thy brethren. And I looked and beheld a man (St. Brenden the Navigator, 512 A.D.) among the Gentiles, who was separated from the seed of my brethren by the many waters; and I beheld the Spirit of God, that it came down and wrought upon the man; and he went forth upon the many waters, even unto the seed of my brethren, who were in the promised land (North America). And it came to pass that I beheld the Spirit of God, that it wrought upon other Gentiles; and they went forth out of captivity, upon the many waters. And it came to pass that I beheld many multitudes of the Gentiles upon the land of promise (puritans, pilgrims, immigrants); and I beheld the wrath of God, that it was upon the seed of my brethren; and they were scattered before the Gentiles and were smitten. And I beheld the Spirit of the Lord, that it was upon the Gentiles, and they did prosper and obtain the land for their inheritance; and I beheld that they were white, and exceedingly fair and beautiful, like unto my people before they were slain.

Because of judgement, the Gentiles were brought to this land of promise by the hand of the Lord. Nephi wrote plainly about the Gentiles coming forth upon the land of promise. The Nephitic records expound upon how God is merciful unto extending to the Gentiles, a time of grace, while bring judgement upon the seed of Lehi. Insomuch that the Gentiles should be set up as a mighty nation upon the land of promise. It is for the Gentile people, that a period of grace should be extended, even a dispensation of the grace of God to do a work unto the whole of the house of Israel, wherein a repentant Gentile may have care for his fallen brother, the seed of Lehi, the remnant of Joseph, and be numbered among them. God shall enlarge indeed Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem.

How shall the adoptee say; “I am of the house”, when the adopter and his house are not yet recovered or can be found? Why do the gentile drunkards claim the birthright of Ephraim, when the house of Joseph remains scattered, smitten, desolate, sitting in darkness?

Have the native Americans been scattered? Have they been smitten? Did not Custer come upon the land of promise and bring upon the people the battle of Little Big Horn? Did not Kit Carson force the Navajo people to endure the Long Walk from Ft. Defiance to Bosque Redondo, where many men, women, and children died in shallow graves along the way? Did not the United States government come in 1830 with the Indian Removal Act and force five tribes to march over 5000 miles on what is now called the Trail of Tears? O Lord, thou hast ordained the Gentiles for judgment; thou hast established them for correction. How long shall the children cry, O Lord?

After the seed of Lehi is smitten, brought low unto the dust, and confounded, as it is written, the Gentile shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and impute his power unto god (Manifest Destiny, U.S. Government Indian Policy). Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people; and they, the Gentiles, shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. And Gentile kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers.

After Nephi had read these things, which were engraven upon the plates of brass to his brethren, they came unto him and said: What meaneth these things which ye have read? Behold, are they to be understood according to things which are spiritual, which shall come to pass according to the spirit and not the flesh? Nephi responded saying; behold these things of which are spoken are temporal; for thus are the covenants of the Lord with our fathers; and it meaneth that these thing pertain to us in the days to come, and also all our brethren who are of the house of Israel. And it meaneth that the time cometh that after all the house of Israel have been scattered and confounded, that the Lord God will raise up a mighty nation among the Gentiles (USA), yea, even upon the face of this land (North America); and by them shall our seed (Native Americans) be scattered. And after our seed is scattered the Lord God will proceed to do a marvelous work among the Gentiles, which shall be of great worth unto our seed; wherefore, it is likened unto their being nourished by the Gentiles and being carried in their arms and upon their shoulders.

What is this temporal nursing fathers program of the Lord? Five years after the US government forced the Navajo people (Diné) to march hundreds of miles from the ancestral lands, a treaty was ultimately signed in 1868. Tribal communities then began to be confined to unwanted tracts of land called reservations. Then came the Indian General Allotment Act of 1887, where it authorized the president to divide Indian reservations into separate tracts of land which created checkerboard parcels of land for individual tribal members and their white neighbors. Then came along BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs) boarding schools. Such institutions as the Carlisle Indian School, had a goal of civilization and assimilation, “kill the Indian, save the man.” Shortly afterwards, the federal government brought in many religious organizations to “Christianize” the wild Indian. They brought in the Catholics, they brought in presibitraians and Baptists. They even brought in the Mormons, which resulted in the creation of the LDS Indian Placement Program. Beginning around the 1950’s, The LDS church, through Spencer Kimball, used this program to place native American children within Mormon foster homes for many years, where they would be educated in the Gospel and exposed to the white LDS culture. Surely the word of the Lord has been fulfilled wherein the children of Lehi have been carried upon the Gentile shoulders of their Mormon brothers.

Despite all this, O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews, have ye remembered the remnant of Joseph, mine ancient covenant people? Nay; but ye have cursed them, and have hated them, and have not sought to recover them. But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads; for I the Lord have not forgotten my people.

And again, the Lord has declared:

“When that day shall come, shall a remnant be scattered among all nations; but they shall be gathered again; but they shall remain until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And when the times of the Gentiles is come in, light shall break forth among them that sit in darkness, and it shall be the fulness of my gospel; But they receive it not; for they perceive not the light, and they turn their hearts from me because of the precepts of men. And in that generation shall the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” – D&C 45

As it is written in holy writ, after the fulness of the gospel is given unto the gentiles, through the receipt of Book of Mormon, when their appointed time is over, they shall deny the true points of the doctrine of Christ and be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, even above all the people of the whole earth. And they shall also be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations. In this rebellion, they shall not gather the remnant seed as they were commanded.

How then shall this work of the Father commence among the remnant of Joseph? Who speaks of these true points of doctrine today? Who shall bring forth this light unto those who still sit in darkness?

Paul understood the report and what was said concerning the remnant that should be left and declared;

“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob” – Romans 11

Moses was truly a deliverer unto Israel, a type and shadow of the Son of God which would come, but as it was done unto Israel in the days of their bondage in Egypt, thus saith the Lord, so shall it be done again in the last days unto the seed of Joseph.

Recorded within the blessing to his youngest son Joseph, Lehi prophesied:

“I am a descendant of Joseph who was carried captive into Egypt. And great were the covenants of the Lord which he made unto Joseph. Wherefore, Joseph truly saw our day. And he obtained a promise of the Lord, that out of the fruit of his loins the Lord God would raise up a righteous branch unto the house of Israel; not the Messiah, but a branch which was to be broken off, nevertheless, to be remembered in the covenants of the Lord that the Messiah should be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the spirit of power, unto the bringing of them out of darkness unto light—yea, out of hidden darkness and out of captivity unto freedom. For Joseph truly testified, saying: A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my loins. Yea, Joseph truly said: Thus saith the Lord unto me: A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins.” – 2 Nephi 3

The Lord revealed unto Moses, concerning the last days saying; when the children of men shall esteem my words as naught and take many of them from the book which thou shalt write, behold, I will raise up another like unto thee; and they shall be had again among the children of men—among as many as shall believe.

There shall be another, who will be a deliverer like unto Moses, raised up in this day. There shall be one who has been nursed by LDS Gentile foster parents, and by them shall the records of his fathers fall into his hands like unto Abraham. Yea, there is one born unto the remnant in this generation, even the choice seer who shall be a direct descendent from the loins of Joseph. A righteous man who is both mighty and strong, unto whom rightly belongs the priesthood and the keys of the kingdom of God on the earth, who shall hold the scepter of power in his hand, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words, with power and authority given of the Holy Ghost, to set in order the house of God, even unto the fulfillment of the promises made with the children of the first covenant.

The Lord spoke also unto the Gentiles saying; Verily I say unto you, I have decreed that your brethren which have been scattered (the Native Americans), shall return to the lands of their inheritances, and shall build up the waste places of Zion. For after much tribulation, as I have said unto you in a former commandment, cometh the blessing. Nevertheless, if they pollute their inheritances they shall be thrown down; for I will not spare them if they pollute their inheritances.

Behold, I say unto you, the redemption of Zion must needs come by power; Therefore, I will raise up unto my people a man, who shall lead them like as Moses led the children of Israel. For ye are the children of Israel, and of the seed of Abraham, and ye must needs be led out of bondage by power, and with a stretched-out arm. And as your fathers were led at the first, even so shall the redemption of Zion be.

The day soon cometh when a New Jerusalem shall be built up upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph, for which thing there has been a type. For as Joseph brought his father down into the land of Egypt, even so he died there; wherefore, the Lord brought a remnant of the seed of Joseph out of the land of Jerusalem, that he might be merciful unto the seed of Joseph that they should perish not, even as he was merciful unto the father of Joseph that he should perish not. Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the Lord, like unto the Jerusalem of old; and they shall no more be confounded, until the end come when the earth shall pass away.

And thus saith the Lord God unto the Gentiles, that if they will repent and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, they shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among this the remnant of Joseph, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance; And they shall assist my people, the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel as shall come, that they may build the New Jerusalem. And then shall they assist my people that they may be gathered in, who are scattered upon all the face of the land, in unto the New Jerusalem. And then shall the power of heaven come down among them; and I also will be in the midst.

But before this day can come, the Gentiles who have care for the house of Israel, must come to realize and know from whence their blessings come and feel sorrow for the calamity of their fallen brother Israel.

So also, shall the remnant of Nephi’s seed be convinced of the word which shall have already gone forth among them (the Bible and the Book of Mormon), and come to know of a surety that they are of the house of Israel, and that they are the covenant people of the Lord. Then shall they know and come to the knowledge of their forefathers, through the records left unto them, and also to the knowledge of the gospel of their Redeemer, which was ministered unto their fathers by him; wherefore, they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer and the very points of his doctrine, that they may know how to come unto him and be saved.

Therefore, hearken, O ye Gentiles, and hear the words of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, which he hath commanded should come unto you. Repent ye, turn from your wicked ways and repent of your evil doings, of your lyings and deceivings, and of your whoredoms, and of your secret abominations, and your idolatries, and humble yourselves before him, lest he shall come out in justice against you—lest a remnant of the seed of Jacob shall go forth among you as a lion, and tear you in pieces, and there is none to deliver.

By what is written in the scriptures, the words of the prophets, shall the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, be made manifest, and this only according to the commandment of the everlasting God. We are to rely on what is written and those things testify that a man must be obedient to the commandments of God. And the scriptures also testify of what is written here. And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye—for Christ will show unto you, with power and great glory, that they are his words, at the last day.

If you are a reading this and you are a Gentile, you must come to understand your duty and responsibility as a Gentile. You must understand that the breaking down of the partition that divides brothers (Jew & Gentile), is that mercy is extended and a wild branch is graft into the mother tree, to maintain the root alive for an affixed period of time. The mystery of the “times of the Gentiles” must be understood, but a Gentile must also comprehend how the Lord will graft back in the natural branch of the olive tree, which shall be a righteous branch unto the House of Israel. Thus, it behooveth all men who have a desire to do the will of God, to know and understand the true points of doctrine of Christ, in full. Partial understanding or partial obedience will not bring about the purposes of God.

The works, the designs, and purposes of God cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to naught. The Savior plainly taught regarding the fulness of the gospel (the Book of Mormon) coming unto to the Gentiles, that the Gentiles might one day know concerning Lehi’s seed, a people who are a remnant of the house of Joseph. For this reason, Joseph Smith was told clearly told by the Lord; Nevertheless, my work shall go forth, for inasmuch as the knowledge of a Savior has come unto the world (the Gentiles), through the testimony of the Jews, even so shall the knowledge of a Savior come unto my people—And to the Nephites, and the Jacobites, and the Josephites, and the Zoramites, through the testimony of their fathers—And this testimony shall come to the knowledge of the Lamanites, and the Lemuelites, and the Ishmaelites, who dwindled in unbelief because of the iniquity of their fathers, whom the Lord has suffered to destroy their brethren the Nephites, because of their iniquities and their abominations. And for this very purpose are these plates preserved, which contain these records—that the promises of the Lord might be fulfilled, which he made to his people; And that the Lamanites might come to the knowledge of their fathers, and that they might know the promises of the Lord

If you are a remnant of the house of Joseph or any other covenant person from one of the other tribes of Jacob, you must come to a knowledge of your forefathers and the promises which were made unto them and to their seed. It is true that a righteous Gentile may be numbered among the house of Israel and they are to assist in the work which must be done, but the promises and covenants are given unto the literal seed of Israel.

If you have a desire to learn more, there are plans to hold seminars during the summer of 2022 in several locations within both Utah and Idaho. These seminars are not intended for individuals who are simply curious. If you are truly serious about learning more concerning the true points of the doctrine of Christ and coming to one of these seminars, first take the effort to study the book of 1st Nephi, starting in chapter 10 until the end of the book, and undertake to fully comprehend what is being taught in those chapters. Take it upon yourself to fully learn and comprehend who the Gentiles are and where they come from. Learn who the remnant is and diligently study the birthright blessings. Take the time to inquire of the Lord concerning these things and the promise is that if ye will not harden your heart, and ask God in faith, believing that ye shall receive, with diligence in keeping his commandments, surely these things shall be made known unto you.
