For the past year, we have been busy preparing for the gathering of Israel to come to pass. There has been much committed in time and effort in bringing to pass much work. It has become necessary again to commence publishing writings and giving people who desire to know the contents of holy writ specific knowledge of what is contained in the writings of old, as compared to what is written today. I would admonish you who desire to know of these truths to seek with the spirit of the Lord that will instruct you and he will reveal that which you must come to understand. To emphasize the importance of what I am writing at present, refer to the First Book of Nephi, chapter 1 verse 2 to begin to understand what I am writing. It states the following: “Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews and the language of the Egyptians.” This is the second verse in the Book of Mormon, what does this mean to you? Now if it were possible that I could by a single touch remove all the impediments of language from before your eyes and you would comprehend what it is I am writing to you, then if I were commanded I would do so; but much is required of God. It behooves you to search and to study beyond what is normal among man; you must discover a new you that is willing to study and to search truth beyond what is written in English to you to plant the seed of knowledge. Furthermore, it is written by Mosiah concerning this thing when he writes in Mosiah 1:4 the following: “For it were not possible that our father, Lehi, could have remembered all these things, to have taught them to our children, except it were for the help of these plates; for he having been taught in the language of the Egyptians therefore he could read these engravings, and to teach them to his children, that thereby they could teach them to their children, and so fulfilling the commandments of God, even down to this present time.” Now therefore, knowing and understanding what I have presently written to you, then knowing and understanding that there must needs be effort made on your own behalf to come to understanding what is written and contained in holy writ; or in other words, for they also said: “And now, behold, we have written this record according to our knowledge, in the characters which are called among us the reformed Egyptian, being handed down and altered by us, according to our manner of speech. And if our plates had been sufficiently large we should have written in Hebrew; but the Hebrew hath been altered by us also; and if we could have written in Hebrew, behold, ye would have had no imperfections in our record. But the Lord knoweth the things which we have written, and also that none other people knoweth our language; and because that none other people knoweth our language, therefore he hath prepared means for the interpretations thereof.” Therefore, I am committing to our web-page, The Remnant of Joseph, the following writings pertaining to languages that you might have a greater understanding of what I am speaking of; but an effort must be made by you to come to understanding that you might learn line upon line and precept upon precept, being guided by the Holy Ghost to comprehend those things.
September 1, 2017 – Understanding Languages, the language of the scriptures – The source of all knowledge comes from God to man that man might know how to act and how to do the things of God that would make his eyes become single to the glory of God, for the which intent, man has been placed on this earth, even the sons of God, that they might have sought pure knowledge and godly righteousness that cometh of God and from God to his covenant children (direct lineal seed of Abraham) from the pre-mortal life unto this life of mortality.
